We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer for our production operations at Epiroc Fagersta. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the department’s processes regarding quality, productivity and costs.

Your Mission

Your tasks will involve driving and developing quality work in our production factories up to the delivery of the finished product. You will follow, develop, and communicate our routines and quality plans, provide support to the production unit, and guide operators, technicians, and production managers in case of deviations from technical requirements, as well as drive and coordinate corrective actions.

The work involves continuing to develop the follow-up work regarding quality costs/deficiencies. You will also work in various product development projects together with our engineers in production technology and production development, where your task will be to optimize our processes. Collaboration with our suppliers is a natural part of the work. Another task is to conduct internal audits in the area as well as external audits of external suppliers.

Location and Travel

This position is located in Fagersta, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a university degree in engineering (materials science, metallurgy or similar) and several years of experience in driving quality work within the machining/Heat treatment industry where Lean Production, 5S, Six Sigma, and quality tools such as FMEA and COPQ have been part of your daily work. You have experience working with quality systems, deviation management, and statistical methods. Good computer skills, as well as good knowledge of English and Swedish both orally and in writing, are required

To succeed in the role, you need to have a very good ability to analyze, structure, and independently drive work within your area of responsibility.
