Right now we are looking for a Functional Safety engineer for our client in the Automotive industry.

Core responsibilities:

In this position the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven capability and experience in design and development of safety related automotive applications. The main responsibilities will be to: Design, develop and maintain safety strategies and concepts for the client´s product.

Tasks could be:

• Development of safety plan
• Tailoring of the safety lifecycle
• Safety requirements facilitation
• Designing test and verification strategies
• Support the compilation of a safety case
• Facilitate safety audits or product assessments
• Plan for, support and/or perform ASIL-dependent confirmation measures
• Provide feedback on and develop implemented safety processes to drive continuous improvement and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Experience in development of safety-critical products (ISO26262 or similar)
• Master degree or similar in engineering with at least 3 years of documented experience
• Skills in both teamwork and individual work. Autonomy, drive and ability to work in a team are key abilities
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
• Ability to manage & support multiple activities (time management skills)

It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following:

• Automotive industry
• Low level embedded software development in C
• Version control tools
• Good knowledge of electronics
• Infineon Aurix
• Motor Control
• AUTOSAR
• Diagnostics
• Truck driver license
