In Valmet’s Pulp & Energy business line we serve a wide variety of customers around the world with for example complete pulp mills, heat and power generation solutions and environmental protection systems. To our evaporation and ash treatment process areas, we are looking for a Senior Engineer, Structural Analysis, to our growing engineering team in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In this role you will be a part of our engineering team and carry the leading role in structural analysis to ensure that we as a team develop efficient and high-quality results. Your focus will be to prioritize incoming assignments, ensure that we operate in compliance with PED, ASME, GB and other codes as well as ensure that wind and earthquake loads are treated in accordance with different directives. You will work in close co-operation with R&D, Sales, Delivery projects and Service in your daily work in a global organization. We want to move our customers forward.

Requirements

We are looking for a strong team player who appreciates co-operation with people from different backgrounds and functions inside and outside of the company. If you have experience from leading others in a technical situation or in a managing position, we see that as a merit. You have a strong drive for reaching set goals, are service-minded and have a “we can do” attitude. In addition, we require:

• Educational background: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 10 years of experience from strength analysis of machines, tanks, pressure vessels and components.
• Knowledge from pulp industries, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the specific equipment that we have in our scope of supply.
• Good knowledge of piping analysis is preferred.
• Experience of CFD can be a merit.
• Experience in using tools such as PV Elite, Ansys, Solid Works and office applications.
• Fluent written and verbal English and Swedish skills.
