Who we are

The Driving Performance & Aerodynamics (DP&A) team is part of Customer Feature Verification within the Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) Complete Vehicle, Sweden organization. We are looking for a Feature Leader to join us on our journey to further secure customer success. 

What you will do

In this position you will work with highly skilled colleagues in an exciting, global environment which provides opportunities to develop both professionally and personally. You will be part of a friendly, and skilled team, who enjoy knowledge sharing and openness.

Your primary mission is to lead and manage your feature to secure optimal Energy Efficiency and CO2 solutions for Volvo products to meet present and future demands. Your team consists of highly skilled Test & Simulation Engineers, Feature Engineers and Analysts with diverse backgrounds, who lead the way in achieving sustainable transport solutions. 

The team works mainly with ICE trucks (Diesel and H2), but also with BEVs and FCEV, with Feature Roadmaps and setting technical requirements, simulation, rig, test track and road testing as well as data analytics to verify and validate product performance to ensure customer success. 

You will also, together with your team, actively find new ways of understanding customers usage and their expectations on our vehicles. In addition, you will work closely with stakeholders continuously striving to improve ways-of-working.

You will be responsible for delivering Fuel Economy, Range, Driveability and Average Speed figures for each Project we are working with.

You will constantly seek to create the right working conditions for the team, supporting on developing new team members to complement the existing strengths in competence and leadership. As our next feature leader, you will also contribute to set the road map and objectives for your organization and act as servant leader to ensure your team gets there.

Who are you

As a confident feature leader with practical expertise, you make fact-based decisions and embrace new challenges to improve workflows. Your motivating leadership style enables effective communication with both operational and executive management, fostering positive outcomes. You should have a proven track record in cross-functional collaboration and team performance in a transformational environment, while also caring for your colleagues. 

You should hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Expertise in Energy Efficiency and Performance Optimization, along with skills in simulation, testing, and analysis, is essential. A solid understanding of the competitive landscape from the customer's perspective, as well as strong knowledge of Powertrain systems (ICE, BEV, FECV, H2), is required. Familiarity with VECTO, MATLAB, Python, and data analysis is also beneficial. If this role aligns with your skills and aspirations, we encourage you to apply.
