Are you an experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for driveline technology? Do you thrive in a dynamic, global environment where innovation and teamwork drive success? We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing cutting-edge mechanical components for heavy-duty vehicles.

About the role

In this position, you will take ownership of mechanical component design and development, ensuring top-quality performance and seamless industrialization. You will work closely with suppliers, lead technical development projects, and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions, including Operations, Purchasing, Software Development, and Product Management. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the future of driveline solutions. You will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, including essential documentation such as DFMEA, drawings, and tolerance stack-ups. CAD work will primarily be done in CREO.

A key part of your role will be leading the industrialization process, working closely with suppliers to ensure successful implementation. Managing technical development projects will also be a central task, where you will define scope, timelines, and budgets while ensuring high-quality deliverables. As part of this role, you will engage with internal stakeholders to enable smooth cooperation across various departments. Additionally, you will maintain documentation and technology roadmaps, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product structures. Becoming a key expert in medium and heavy-duty driveline structures, your insights will be valuable to teams across the organization. You will also actively contribute to process improvements and be an engaged member of the engineering community.

Qualifications

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in research and development, preferably within automotive and transmission development. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Experience with systems such as KOLA, PDMlink, and PROTUM is an advantage.
