About the role

We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Gothenburg. The Project Manager R&D is responsible for leading and managing the execution of product development projects from pre-study to launch. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring projects align with the company’s strategic goals.

Main activities and responsibilities

• Lead and manage product development projects and pre-studies within R&D.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and risks.
• Coordinate with team and stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
• Prepare and present project updates to various stakeholders, including team members, managers, and executives.
• Support Product Managers to build business cases for New Product Development projects.
• Conduct financial forecasting and follow-up.
• Take part in developing and improving tools and best practices for project management and execution.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

What you need to be successful

We believe you have a strong background in project management and product development. You hold a BSc, MSc, or equivalent in work experience within engineering (mechanical, mechatronics). We also believe you have:

• Knowledge of New Product Development processes, stage gate processes, and agile frameworks.
• Knowledge of project planning, risk management budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in managing mechatronic projects including mechanical, electrical, software, and control resources.
• Experience in Jira.
• Fluent language in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage team dynamics, and motivate team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategical mindset, understanding the big picture, adjusting available solutions to diverse audiences.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
• Focused on customer and business value.
