What you will do

At the cooling routing team you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will be the product responsible for maintenance and new development within Chassis Engineering. This task will include strategic work, planning, eliminating roadblocks, creating technical roadmaps as well as being responsible for deliveries and reporting towards projects, suppliers, production, quality, aftermarket, etc.

The role includes design work, requirement setting, documentation, validation & verification of the installation for the cooling system routing. Main design work tools are CAD (CREO), Microsoft office and Volvo documentation systems. 

The main design area is to install various components in the front area of the truck (Under cab). The work will be carried out in all phases, from start cost to maintenance. Several new innovative projects are starting up where new installations are needed.

You will be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team of 12 engineers from different cultural backgrounds, united by a common goal—to optimize the cooling system under the cab for electric trucks. Who are you?

You are a curious and solution-oriented engineer with a passion for innovation. You enjoy collaborating in a global environment, communicating effectively across teams, and balancing technical tasks with cross-functional work. You thrive in a fast-paced setting and are eager to contribute to the development of future thermal systems.

Your background:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Several years of experience in automotive engineering as an engineer or designer
• Good experience in 3D modeling and PDM systems (CAD)
• Experience working in global teams and with suppliers
• Knowledge of cooling systems and thermal management is a plus
