Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Functional Safety Engineer for Residential Energy Storage System (RESS) to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.

Your responsibilities

• Assessment: Conduct an initial assessment of the RESS to identify potential safety hazards and risks. This includes reviewing the design, components, and overall system architecture (together with client team).
• HV voltage and high to low voltage conversion will be included.
• Review HARA for RESS from supplier (or conduct HARA if necessary).
• Conduct HARA for dongle-cloud communication.
• Safety Requirements Analysis: Analyze the safety requirements for the RESS, ensuring they comply with relevant standards and regulations such as EN60730, EN60335, IEC EN60947, IEC EN61439 (LV directive) and ISO13849. Document any gaps or areas that need improvement.
• Safety Documentation Review : Review all safety-related documentation to ensure the safety of the product and strategy, including safety plans, safety case reports, and test results. Also with regards to failures modes, monitoring, detection, and mitigation strategies as well as diagnostics etc. Ensure that all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

Knowledge / Experience

• Masters/ bachelor’s degree in computer science/electronics/electrical engineering.
• Experience in Electric Propulsion domain is a plus.( Inverter, Battery, DCDC, HV systems).
• Should be able to guide the team with respect to Functional safety process and work products.
• Ability to independently Put together a plan, conduct and follow-up towards the work objective.
• Good Communication skills (English Spoken and written)& team Player skills.
