LEAX Group is looking for a Senior Gear Design Engineer with expertise in gear design and transmission development. We are in an expansive phase, growing our R&D department, and this is your opportunity to influence both working methods and technology within gears and transmissions.

As a key player in our team, you will support LEAX with gear design and system optimization, working closely with customers to develop high-performance transmission solutions from concept to serial production. You will also act as a mentor and coach for junior engineers, contribute to public collaborative projects, and drive research in new machining technologies related to gear production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize gears for automotive and industrial applications.
• Improve gear microgeometry and gear train optimization for durability and NVH performance.
• Contribute to gear system design and development in various projects.
• Perform gear system testing to validate performance and durability.
• Develop gear tools and methodologies for improved design processes.
• Represent LEAX in public collaborative projects related to gears and transmissions.
• Conduct gear simulations for production, design, and testing applications.
• Coordinate and support gear training activities for LEAX employees.
• Provide technical support in marketing and sales of gear components and systems.

Additional Responsibilities

• Research new machining technologies related to gear production and investigate cutting-edge advancements.
• Develop methods for gear inspection and quality control to ensure high manufacturing standards.

Desired Experience

To succeed in this role, you should be curious, communicative, and a problem solver with strong collaboration skills.

• Extensive experience in gear design and/or transmission systems is required.
• Experience in calculation and simulation is highly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; a Master’s or PhD is meritorious.
• Experience in material science, production, and machining is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
