Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work with innovative industrial solutions? At ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, we are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Docking Product Unit for Business Segment Industrial. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and enhancing our docking solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. This role is based in Landskrona, Sweden.

What you would do as Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will drive innovation and product excellence by leading mechanical design and engineering projects. Your role will involve evaluating feasibility, optimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

You would also:

• Lead mechanical design and development, ensuring high-quality solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and prototype testing.
• Improve existing products and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize production and sourcing.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in product design.
• A master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with proven experience in mechanical design and engineering preferably in metal/steel industry can be an asset.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in English as it is the working language, and knowledge of Swedish or Spanish is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong adaptability and problem-solving skills. They have excellent communication and teamwork abilities, enabling them to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience in project management is a valuable asset, allowing them to oversee tasks efficiently and contribute to successful project execution.
