About the role:

In this role, you'll design and develop cutting-edge hardware devices that seamlessly integrate with our sensor chips, driving real impact in biopharma applications. From brainstorming innovative ideas to testing prototypes, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products deliver outstanding performance and reliability. As part of our small but dynamic development team of two, you'll be responsible for the entire product development process—something you're already accustomed to. Your expertise will help shape our technology and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the field. What you'll do:

  • Solve engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Design hardware using CAD tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Build prototypes, conduct tests, verify and validate designs.
  • Document design processes and testing procedures.

Who you are

  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product development within a highly regulated industry, such as automotive or medtech, but biopharma is of course especially valued.
  • Skilled in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Space Claim, or AutoCAD).
  • A creative problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of optics, electronics, fluid mechanics, and simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, Zemax) and quality systems like ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 is a bonus.
