Your role

General Engineering, part of the Business Unit Gripen Aeronautics, is currently about 65 employees where we create technical solutions for Aeronautics product design and production, from research to finished product and maintenance. The area is responsible for development processes of technology specifications, such as internal standards.

We´re seeking an Engineer to join our dedicated Engineering Management team. In your role you´re responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely approval of technical standards across various domains, such as material, process, part and design standards. You´re responsible for coordination and approval of standards and/or source control documents.

By guiding technical specifications through the developing processes and leveraging your expertise in one or more areas, you will also be tasked with writing, updating, and maintaining standards documentation, while developing and implementing efficient methods, processes, and tools to streamline the standardization process. Effective collaboration with engineers and stakeholders across different disciplines is crucial, as is providing technical support and expertise within the realm of General Engineering.

Your profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in coordinating and managing technical documentation, demonstrating a meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to lead and influence others. An innovative mindset, ability to embrace new ideas and continuous improvement, will be highly valued in this role.

To qualify for the role, you should have the following competence:

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, such as design, mechanics, production processes, materials or chemicals.
• At least 2 years of experience as an engineer, demonstrating a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
• Experience in coordinating and managing technical documentation.
• Great verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English

It´s a plus if you have proven leadership experience, such as a technical lead role, with the ability to sign off on documents and coordinate effectively with others.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
