About the position

In Transformation Office, Group level, we are a team around 80 employees, and we are in the middle of an exciting phase of growth. The Transformation Office is overall responsible for planning, building, and executing SSAB’s new Steel Mills for Fossil Free Steel production. Together we build up our capability for construction and execution and are establishing functions for successful project deliveries.

As a Lead Engineer for Electrical Distribution System, you will oversee the quality assurance of engineering and design delivered by different suppliers. You will manage and allocate resources from the electrical team, ensuring technical solutions meet the highest standards. Collaborating closely with the Technical Project Manager for Electrical Distribution, you will handle technical issues, support stakeholders, and facilitate communication with suppliers.

Main responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical system and equipment for the new Steel Mill electrical distribution system.
• Lead and allocate resources from electrical team specialists to ensure high-quality engineering practices and standards by review technical outputs e.g. specifications, calculations, drawings etc.
• Support the Technical Project Manager for the Electrical Distribution System in daily work by handling technical issues, support and coordination with stakeholders and have a key role in technical meetings and communication with suppliers.

About You

• Proven track record and experience of engineering for large scale project involving medium- and low-voltage distribution equipment, auxiliary power supply systems (UPS) and SCADA-systems.
• Good knowledge and experience of high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment and systems, preferably within industrial settings.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading and managing a team and technical specialists to ensure technical quality in deliveries from a client perspective.
