What you will do

At Volvo Buses you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As a Senior Certification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vehicle systems comply with various regulations, including:

1. Ensure and own our Chassis System Compliance according to European legislation.

2. Preparing and submitting documentation for regulatory approvals.

3. Represent and coordinate within projects for new and existing products to meet all the statutory and mandatory requirements.

4. Coordinate certification tests and evaluations with testing team, technical services and type approval authorities and publish the new and updated certificates.

5. Providing regulatory inputs and guidance to support projects and engineering teams and accomplish certification as per Project timelines following Global Development process.

6. Monitor product changes to ensure compliance continuity.

7. Coordinate, Support Product Audit team in performing Conformity of Production as per CoP Plan.

8. You will be responsible for around 5 systems and CoP process coordination.

Certification team is part of Product and Project Management within Global Bus Technology. Majority of team is in located in Göteborg and others in Poland, Brazil and Mexico. Who are you?

• We are looking for people with at least 5+ years of vehicle certification experience, preferably heavy commercial vehicles.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• You have vehicle technical and Homologation process knowledge.
• Attention to detail, aptitude for regulations and technical information study and research.  
• You embrace and prioritize product compliance. 
• Teamplayer with can-do attitude, willing to learn and contribute to team success.
• Strive for continuous improvement.
