About us

As Epic Owner within the Business, Architecture, Services and Connectivity stream, you will be part of building a global platform utilized by the brands within Volvo Group. Technology development within this area is fast and rewarding!

Within Service Platform System and Architecture, our main responsibility is to develop and maintain large solution level enablers for digital services. Our teams are cross functional and include system architects, cybersecurity engineers, software developers, verification engineers as well as other members as required for the task at hand.

What you will do

As Epic Owner, you are responsible for coordinating Epics through their complete lifecycle.

Epics are significant initiatives within the Scaled Agile Framework that deliver business value. You will make sure your Epics are aligned to business value and stakeholder expectations. You will be responsible for planning and communicating milestones and ensuring effective collaboration between those working on your Epic. You'll also manage budgets and foster communication across boundaries. This multifaceted role values teamwork, adaptability, and strategic thinking for successful outcomes.

Your mission is to support cross-functional Service Platform stream deliveries of verified and validated systems, components and functions, coordinating with other vehicle and technology streams. This involves managing interfaces with various teams where the implementation is handled by different Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across many Product Increments (PIs). The Epics vary in size and complexity, often involving collaboration with other Vehicle Technology streams.

This exciting position offers the opportunity to break down Epics into actionable capabilities, synchronize milestones, and secure financial decisions. Your expertise will shine as you drive our product's success through strategic planning and coordination with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

About You

As a person, you take initiatives and drive them forward with a business and customer mindset. You have excellent coordination & communication skills and are good at networking with people. You also have a positive attitude and adapt to changing conditions.

We expect that you have a proven track record in product and/or service development within system or embedded software development for at least 5-10 years. Demonstrated leadership of technical teams is essential for this role, thereby we expect that you have experience in project management or similar roles.
