Komab are now looking for dedicated and creative mechanical design engineers to join our team. As an established player in the engineering consulting industry, we work primarily with the basic industry and offer tailor-made design solutions to the mining, sawmill and process industries. We also have extensive experience of design and deliveries in steel handling and the steel industry. With a strong presence at both large and medium-sized companies, we have built up a diverse and exciting work environment.

Job Summary

As an engineer at Komab, you will be responsible for creating and delivering mechanical design and development based on customer requests. The assignments vary in both scope and nature. They can include everything from working with component specifications to plant design, and more. Our customers place high demands on function and sustainability, which in turn places high demands on our ability to think innovatively and deliver quality solutions.

You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored design solutions.

Requirements and Experience

We are looking for someone with an engineering education in a relevant area, such as machine, mechanics, or equivalent experience acquired in another way. Most likely, you have a few years of experience in similar tasks. It is important that you can communicate in English, but it is also positive if you have good communication skills in Swedish.

Experience with CAD systems is a prerequisite in our industry.

As a person, we believe that you have many good qualities, and important to us is your social skills, based on the fact that in your role as a consultant you represent the company on a daily basis to customers and partners. You are creative and curious with a strong drive. It comes naturally to you to take the initiative and you are motivated by being part of taking the company forward.

About the company

Komab is a technology consulting company with the goal of helping our customers from idea to delivery, regardless of whether it is a matter of smaller one-off efforts or total commitments. We have extensive experience in mechanics, electrical/automation and plants/equipment for the mining, sawmill and steel industries, among others. We know how these industries work and what demands are placed on technology and machines, which means that we can both lead the project and deliver the technology.

Here you will find the locally owned company, consisting of 15 employees, which is located in a new and fresh office in central Skellefteå. As consultants, a large part of our time is also spent with customers. We believe in working together as a team. The whole team meets regularly to go through how we are doing in projects, goals and how we will continue to develop.
