We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our mission to pioneer the future of financial services!

Our team is committed to creating and reinforcing security within our SEB Embedded products and Banking as a Service platform. As a Security Engineer you will play a pivotal role in our cutting-edge team - working closely with the rest of the engineering community within SEB Embedded.

About us

We are a team with the mission to deliver expertise and tools to enable the rest of the organization to operate in a secure way. Currently the team consists of four security engineers and a security engineering manager, but we are growing to support our scaling organization. This phase of our growth journey will give great opportunities to develop and learn new areas within the field of security.

As a team we are focused on helping the business thrive by applying the exact right amount of security and creating easy to understand and use solutions. The team is made up of experienced security engineers who enjoy working together to solve real life problems.

What you will do

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Design, implement and maintain cloud security solutions
• Develop, improve and maintain technical security measures
• Develop and improve the roadmap and processes for secure architecture
• Develop and improve processes and guidelines for the secure software development lifecycle
• Perform security assessments through design and code review
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on IT security related matters
• Provide training on security awareness and security best practices to internal stakeholders

Your responsibilities will evolve over time depending on your areas of interest and desired growth path!

Who you are

Communication and relationship building are key areas for success in this role, as well as the acumen to finding strategic compromises that enhance the overall business goals.

We expect you to have some of the following experiences:

• A few years of relevant security engineering experience.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (we use GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) as well as automation tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure using security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, WAF).
• Understanding of software development practices (Python, Java, Golang or similar) in order to conduct code reviews
• Familiarity with security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, CIS 18, PCI DSS, GDPR, DORA.
• Experience in Vulnerability Management, understanding different attack vectors, exploitation techniques, triage, assessment and the ability to follow up on vulnerabilities.
• Previous professional experience in a regulated industry
