Are you passionate about technology and skilled at translating complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content? Do you want to be part of a senior engineering team in a global software company? If so, you may be the right person for our Technical Writer role in our Stockholm office, working for Access Risk within Outpost24. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product teams and marketing to create and maintain high-quality documentation for new and existing products, ensuring our customers can easily understand and utilize our solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Position summary

As a Technical Writer, you will be part of our software development team, working in a hybrid setup that combines time in the office and remote work. Our office is located at Vasagatan in central Stockholm. You will contribute to an agile, continuous delivery environment, helping document cloud software (Web/APIs), on-premises components, and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and usability
• Utilize Markdown markup language for documentation and editing
• Familiarize yourself with our graphical user interfaces through collaboration and hands-on exploration
• Develop a basic knowledge about our APIs (Web/REST APIs, PowerShell scripting)
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, mainly R&D, support and marketing
• Be an individual contributor, working as part of an agile team
• Be willing to learn from others, as well as share your knowledge and expertise
• Actively seek feedback by having your documentation reviewed by peers
• Report to engineering manager, and work directly with Access Risk R&D

Education

• A degree or relevant certification in technical communication, English, or a related field.

Required experience and skills

• Writing technical documentation
• Proficiency in English
• Basic understanding of Markdown markup language
• Knowledge about web technologies, HTML/CSS
• Working with source control (git)
• Basic illustration/graphics
• Knowledge of SEO principles for optimizing online documentation
• Basic scripting (e.g. PowerShell or Python)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in creating technical diagrams (e.g., flowcharts, conceptual diagrams)
• Experience of MadCap Flare
• Additional languages (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Swedish)
• Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience of programming, using REST APIs
