About the job

This service is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process takes place through Bravura, and you will be employed directly by CEVA Logistics. The position offers an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within the automation field while contributing to a global logistics leader.

Tasks and responsibilities

In the role of Automation Support Team Lead, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of CEVA’s automated systems. Your responsibilities will encompass both hands-on technical work and leadership duties, ensuring high system availability and effective coordination across teams.

Key responsibilities include

• Oversee and coordinate the daily functionality of automated systems, such as the Vanderlande Pocket Sorter, Returns Conveyors, and Vanriet Parcel Sorter. This involves monitoring system performance, addressing any disruptions, and ensuring seamless operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Automation Manager and suppliers to plan, implement, and follow up on maintenance schedules. Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and with minimal impact on operations.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system availability and efficiency. Log errors systematically, identify recurring issues, and propose improvement measures to enhance overall system reliability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Automation, Facilities, and IT Support during day shifts. Facilitate clear and effective communication among teams to resolve issues promptly and ensure smooth workflow.
• Create, update, and maintain essential documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and spare parts inventories. This ensures that processes are well-documented, and resources are easily accessible.
• Mentor and train team members to build their technical competence and ensure adherence to CEVA’s 5S methodology and quality standards. Support a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with IT support and key users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.

This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills, requiring an individual who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Education, experience and personal characteristics

Education:

• Higher education in automation or technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-year work experience in automation within warehousing, e-commerce production, retail, or a similar field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in automation as a service technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g., Ultimo).
