Job Title: EHS Specialist

Location: Uppsala, Sweden (onsite)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will lead and implement Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, focusing on construction projects and compliance with workplace standards. Using your advanced expertise, you'll identify risks, guide stakeholders, and champion a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage EHS plans and programs, with a primary focus on construction projects.
• Analyse and mitigate dangerous conditions, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and measurements of workplace conditions, including hazardous forces and toxic substances.
• Provide technical guidance and training to employees and managers on safety protocols and the use of protective equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety processes and resolve workplace safety concerns.
• Maintain and audit records to ensure all compliance documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, promoting EHS best practices and advocating for continuous improvement.
• Give support and requirements in topics related to construction management, Safety coordinator (Bas-P/Bas-U) and chemical management in projects

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in EHS, with demonstrated expertise in construction-related environments.
• Strong knowledge of Swedish and international workplace health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders.
• Certification in occupational safety or related field is a plus.
