Are you passionate about product compliance and sustainability? We are looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our client´s hardware department in Västerås. The client is a globally recognized leader in industrial data communication, developing robust solutions for critical and demanding environments. With a strong focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability, they are shaping the future of their industry.

About the Role

As a Sustainability Product Compliance Engineer, you will be part of the client´s development team, working to ensure their products meet sustainability and regulatory standards. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, focusing on compliance with international and national regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, select, and approve components based on material declarations and lifecycle requirements.
• Manage material declarations and ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, and SCIP reporting.
• Monitor and implement changes in regulations to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams, including hardware development, purchasing, and production.
• Contribute to process improvement and development within compliance and sustainability areas.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in electrical- or chemical engineering.
• Ability to interpret and apply product-related sustainability regulations.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken (Swedish is a plus).

Meritorious experience:

• Knowledge of RoHS and REACH regulations.
• Experience with material declarations and lifecycle analyses.
• Previous roles in product compliance, sustainability, or related fields.
• Familiarity with industrial products and working in demanding environments.
