Location

One opening is immediately available within the Customer Relations Department in Thermo-Calc Software AB Stockholm, Sweden. We adhere to a remote-friendly mindset, meaning that the work location is flexible for the right candidate.

Primary responsibilities

As an Application Specialist, you will play an important role in communicating the benefits of our tools to potential users. Your primary responsibility will be to use your materials science background to research and develop application examples that showcase the capabilities of our software. You will collaborate with our database developers and sales team, interact with users, and monitor publications and presentations that use our tools to find and develop relevant and compelling use cases for our products. You will then use these to develop technical marketing pieces such as white papers, case studies, application examples, presentations, educational materials, and more to demonstrate the diverse functionalities and benefits of our software solutions to potential users, and to assist our sales, support, and training teams with technical content.

Responsibilities

• Develop application examples showcasing how our software directly addresses real-world challenges.

• Create technical marketing material such as case studies, white papers, and more showcasing how users can benefit from our tools.

• Partner with internal teams and external users to gather relevant information for creating technical marketing content.

• Track publications and presentations that use our products and create content around them, such as application examples.

• Communicate complex technical information in an easily understandable way for diverse audiences, from researchers to decision-makers.

• Develop technical content for our website, including product and methodology pages.

• Aid in the development of educational materials such as user onboarding content and tutorial guides.

• Assist in other technical marketing activities at Thermo-Calc Software AB as needed.

Qualifications

• We believe you have a master’s degree or higher in materials science or a related field

• Proficient in Thermo-Calc Software or other CALPHAD-based software

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Ability to collaborate with others and drive projects forward

• Positive, self-motivated, and adaptable

• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Experience in marketing or technical writing is not needed
